Akka means elder sister in Tamil, my native tongue. My akka used our backyard Meyer lemons to make a traditional spicy Indian pickle when she visited us from India in 2008. The condiment became so popular amongst our friends and family, that we started Akka's Handcrafted Foods and expanded our offerings to chutney, relish, sauce base, marinade, spice rub, and jam. We use all natural ingredients and no preservatives or additives of any kind, period.
